Gay Erotic Paranormal Romance - Short Story

An agency compound and an isolated cabin – Present Day

For the last two years, Josh Mackay has been a prisoner in all but name.  As the only man to ever survive the control of a Minder – a psi who can invade and even destroy another person's mind – Josh is an anomaly and zealously monitored by the agency hunting the Minders.   Although the agency claims only to have Josh's interests at heart, he knows the truth.  They want Kiran Brunner – the Minder who not only used Josh but was also once his lover.   With Kir still making contact from time to time, the agency hopes to use Josh to capture the elusive Minder.

Ambivalent about his feelings for Kir, Josh only wants to escape the agency's clutches.  However, his plans fall apart when Brad Carlisle shows up.   A powerful, sadistic Minder, Brad had also once been Kiran's lover and is infamous for toying with people's free will.  Jealous of the hold Josh still has on Kir, Brad moves in right under the agency's nose and proceeds to turn Josh into a Zombie.   His mind and memories warped and in chaos, Josh is close to being lost forever.  When Kir finally comes for Josh, is there anything left to rescue?

The Minders series reads like a serial and is just as addictive.  Josh and Kir are a pair of lovers with an especially dark and twisted past.   They've each carried hidden agendas against each other, but that hasn't stopped them from falling in love.   Throw in the villainous Brad, appearances by other Minders and the shady members of the agency, and you get a story that is sometimes disturbing but always riveting.   While ZOMBIE can stand alone, I would recommend that one start the series with the first book, MONSTER, to fully appreciate the nuances of this universe and to find out the specifics of Josh and Kir's past.   Haunting and unforgettable, ZOMBIE will leave you clamoring for more of this series.
