Erotic Fantasy Gay Romance - Short Story

Honalee -Present Day

Once again we return to Honalee, the land where Dragons do more than frolic in the autumn mists.

The last we saw of Jack Drapper and his lover, the dragon Aneurin, they both were collapsed in a heap of sated bliss with their roommate, the Elf Remo.

Now, it is the next day and time for Wizard lesson to begin in earnest.  Jack needs to learn to control his wizard powers and his shape-changing ability as it wouldn't do to become a dragon in the middle of class.  Since Jack and Aneurin were separated for so many years, even though they are adults, they are fledglings at working together. This could present problems, especially when it comes to dealing with the usurper, Cadell, Jack's father. Jack doesn't want to be a Prince, and has no desire to rule Honalee. The Matriarchal society where men are considered little more than breeders isn't ready for a leader raised in a world where men and women are equal. But if his little sister Miranda isn't found, Jack may have no choice. To complicate matters, the Dragon Stone has chosen him just as had been prophesized. This has the dragons a bit concerned, as whoever is bonded to the Dragon Stone controls the dragons. And poor Jack, just learning to handle his own magic, has no idea the Stone has chosen him or that someone other than his father might want him dead.

And if things weren't complicated enough, it turns out Remo is not the simple Elf he presents himself to be, but is on an undercover mission at the Wizard School. Quinton, the annoying human noble introduced in DRAGON'S STONE, is not what or who he appears to be either -- and he has a strong connection to Remo that no one else is aware of.   Quinton is also at the Wizard School acting as a spy.  Jack is going to have to come up to speed very quickly, and learn who is friend and foe if he plans to live a long and happy life with his mate Aneurin.

DRAGON'S QUEST is a fabulous tale of secrets, hidden agendas and unbridled passion between dragons and their mates. In this tale, we learn more about Jack's past and what his future may hold as well as learn the secrets Remo and Quinton have been keeping. The dialogue in DRAGON'S QUEST is amusing and he interaction between the characters entertaining. The sensuality of the love scenes is enough to singe and the unfolding plot is intriguing. While many questions are answered, and the future seems to be secured, I hope the author plans to visit Honalee in the future, even it if is just to check up on Jack and his lusty Dragon "frolicking in the mists."  A thoroughly charming and delightful tale, don't miss DRAGON'S QUEST -- or the previous titles in the Dragon's Egg series, DRAGON'S EGG and DRAGON'S STONE.
