Erotic Gay Contemporary Romance – Short Story

Rated: Chile Pepper

A western film location – Present Day

Gay action movie stars are a big no-no in Hollywood.  Unfortunately, that's just what Ty Garrison is and coming out of the closet just as he's hitting the big time is so not an option.   Weary of the pretense and lonely to the core, Ty can't help but fall hard for the cowboy in charge of the horses at his new western movie.  Thankfully, Dooley Robbins is looking right back at him.

Forced to give up the rodeo after blowing up his knee, Dooley doesn't really think much of the spoiled brat Hollywood types.   However, the lead actor in his new film is anything but a prima donna.  Stealing away for a late night ride together, the two bond over pizza and beer and discover something special together.   It's so special, the two continue to see each other afterwards, stealing a weekend here and there together.  But as the years roll on, Ty gets tired of the pretense and wants to settle down with his cowboy.   Can Ty convince Dooley to take a chance on him?

JUST LIKE IN THE MOVIES is written in a smooth narrative that gently draws the reader in and keeps them hooked to the very end.   Ty and Dooley are a pair of heroes who perfectly complement each other.  You know they are meant to be together in the end, but first they have to play the Hollywood game even when it keeps them apart.   Easygoing and perfectly paced, this story makes an excellent summer read.
