Erotic Gay Paranormal Romance - Short Story
Outside Capital City - Dante's World
He awakens to find himself in a passionate encounter with a man he
doesn't know. He quickly realizes that not only does he not know
the man so passionately caressing him...he doesn't know who he
is, either. He knows he should call a stop to the encounter, but
the pleasure that fills him will not be denied.
Drained from the encounter, the two men fall to the straw covered
bed, but when the question is asked, "Who are you?" neither of them
can answer. Flashes of memory tease their consciousness. Their
bodies seemed familiar to each other -- but solid recall of
something as simple as a name is beyond them both. What they
remember is passion, but what they forgot could get one of them
killed. You see, one of them is a vampire.
MISSING PIECES starts off with a highly erotic sexual encounter and
an intriguing premise. What would you do if you came to
consciousness being made passionate love to by a stranger, and what
if you couldn't remember who you were? As the two try to remember
anything about themselves, the passion continues to ignite between
them -- until one of them realizes he is not quite human. Who are
they, and why are they alone in a dugout in the middle of a blizzard
far from the Capital City?
While the beginning of MISSING PIECES is captivating, and the entire
tale unfolds in a dreamlike quality as they struggle to remember,
the ending left me a bit confused. The writing is excellent, the
character development and interaction well done, and while in an
esoteric way the why is revealed, the how and the who remain a
mystery. I have to admit it's possible that my understanding of
these unexplained phenomena would have been better had I read the
previous books in the Dante's World series. However, even
with the abrupt and confusing end, MISSING PIECES offers up a hot
sexual romance between two captivating characters.
