Melissande Simpson, with the help of her family and friends, has gone to extraordinary lengths to hide the fact that she is the Archive – the only being on Earth or in the magical Realm who can write new spells.  If a Mage discovers who she is, Melissande will be locked up in a tower and made to do as they or the High Council wish until her death.  But the time has come when she can’t hide her existence anymore and to keep herself out of the Magus’ hands, Melissande agrees to mate with a werewolf.  But will it be the one she sees in her dreams?

Werewolves are wonderfully uninhibited about their bodies and sex as Melissande quickly comes to understand in ARCHIVE.  The race for her hand is on and only the strong will survive.  Throw in a dragon or two, a frisky gremlin, and a gorgeous water guardian and you get an entertaining tale.  There are a few small inconsistencies in the story, but they don’t detract from the overall tale.  Although it’s best to read the series in order to truly understand all of the characters and their relationship to each other, the ARCHIVE can be enjoyed as a stand alone book.
