Because his cousins are married with mates, and still recovering after the fight they all had with Reynard, Alex is in charge of the search and he plans to end Reynard's life. Meeting Mara gives Alex a glimpse of what the future might hold. Mara is a strong independent woman who does her job and does it well. She isn't too keen on Alex taking over her case, but in the bedroom...no problem. The sex between them is off the charts, but it's more than mere sex. It’s emotions, feelings, and love. Secondary characters include several d'Argent family members and Philippe, who lost his long-time lover in the previous book, ETERNAL SURRENDER. Philippe has as much right and reason to destroy Reynard and he will risk his very life to help Alex and Mara succeed.
