Erotic Paranormal Romance - Short
England – 19th century
Pier is a daemon, the offspring of a spirit father and a human
mother, and needs the essence of sexual energy to survive. What
better way to ensure that than by running London's premier pleasure
house. Pier likes her independence and the occasional dalliance
with the handsome and lustful men who come her way. Unfortunately,
no one has piqued her interest for some time, and she's grown
bored. That changes when Pier's spirit friend, Dion, tells her that
he's found her perfect match. The only problem is that he's not
only a daemon -- which Pier has always avoided getting involved with
-- but he's also Dimitri Terence, one of the most notorious daemons
around. Wary but intrigued, Pier agrees to visit Dimitri at his
family home, Python Place.
Dimitri Terence has good reason to avoid supernatural females. His
mother, Eris, is a malevolent full-fledged spirit who constantly
tempts Dimitri and his brothers to give in to evil. It's no wonder
Dimitri is content to feed his hunger on the all too eager mortal
women readily available at Python Place. When his friend, Dion,
tricks him into meeting a female daemon, Dimitri thinks it's a waste
of time until he sees Pier for the first time. It's instant lust
and something more between the two daemons. Unfortunately, both are
stubborn and set in their ways, and their path to true love is both
rocky and thrilling. But just as Pier and Dimitri come to an
understanding, Mommy Dearest strikes back by kidnapping Pier. Will
Dimitri sacrifice his soul to save the woman he loves?
The delicious Terence brothers are back, and this time it's middle
brother Dimitri's turn at the hands of Dion's matchmaking, as he
meets his match in the fiercely independent Pier. The battle of
wills that goes on between Dimitri and Pier is naughty, steamy, and
occasionally funny. However, the second half of the story seemed a
bit rushed, careening towards the end and leaving me with some
burning questions. Hopefully, the answers will be found in the next
installment and we'll find out more about the brothers, their
mother, and the fascinating Dion. If you like bad boy heroes, be
sure to make a date with this series.
