Erotic Sci-Fi Romance - Short Story

Graves Station and open space, aboard the Black Star and the Sword Breaker - The Future

Though Phoebe Lightheart, an unwilling member of a religious group known as the Hand of God, knows that no one has successfully escaped from the stations they rule with severity, she’s determined to try. When the Black Star, a legendary ship indeed, docks in one of the less populated hangars, she takes the biggest risk of her life and climbs aboard through the waste outlet. Not one of the best smelling experiences of her life, but the chance for escape is worth any trial. Or at least that’s what she thought before meeting Damon Singh. Gentle and sexy, he makes her yearn to give up her newly found freedom in exchange for a lifetime in his arms. But the Hand of God isn’t done with Phoebe yet.

When Damon Singh, Captain of the Black Star, finds a smelly, dirty, mess of a woman in his bed, he’s surprised to feel a tingle of something. After forcing the little stowaway to get cleaned up, he realizes that she’s gorgeous, and way too young for him. Not that either of them are looking for a relationship, he just can’t help thinking about her, pondering the possibilities. But when her presence puts the Black Star and everyone around her in jeopardy, Damon has to decide if the innocence that Phoebe projects is real or feigned.

Sci-fi readers will enjoy learning more about the cyborg ship Black Star, and her crew, in BLACK STAR STOWAWAY. Captain Damon is honorable and determined to resist Phoebe. He has no desire to inflict any harm on a young woman who has already suffered so much in her life. Phoebe doesn’t care about the age difference, she only sees a noble man who treats her fairly and makes her insides quiver. Together the two could have a bright future, but first they have to face the Hand of God and learn to trust each other.

Secondary characters of note include: Viktor, a cybernetically enhanced vampire and Damon’s Second in Command. A heck of a man to have on your side, he could prove deadly to his comrades if things go wrong. Ranier, the Black Star’s pilot, is a good friend to Damon and he, along with Viktor, is ever concerned for his safety. Picture the lack of privacy aboard a ship full of people, and the noises that could be generated during a bout of lovemaking, and you’ll understand why friends who investigate “suspicious” sounds aren’t always a good thing. ;-) Diamond is a mysterious female from Graves Station, and I would suspect that she’s going to be integral to a future Black Star story.

BLACK STAR STOWAWAY makes a fine standalone read, but for a better understanding of the Black Star and her crew, I recommend you read BLACK STAR PRINCESS first. Besides, they’re both fun reads, and can you ever get enough of those? :-) Stop by Changeling Press and pick up one (or both) of them today.
