Erotic Sci-fi Romance - Short story

On an isolated Union space station, a Federation ship and a Federation Planet - The future

Jolie Blakney, a Federation cyborg doctor, is starting to have second thoughts about the wisdom of her current mission. She’s aboard a Union space station trying to convince cyborg Thorgan D’Emry that he should accept an offer from the Federation. The offer? Undo the hardware the Union put in that prevents Thorgan from getting an erection. The Union uses this control to get cyborgs to work for free, promising to undo it at a later date. Somehow Jolie just never thought about how a very strong, probably horny man would react to having his masculinity definitively questioned.

Thorgan D’Emry can’t believe the temerity of Jolie’s suggestion. How the heck does she know about his problem? But when she explains that she can reverse the effects of the hardware here and now, well, what male would turn that down? His one requirement? Jolie has to help him make sure everything is fully functioning.

Though Jolie’s assignment (THE CYBORG RECRUITMENT PROJECT) is a success, Thorgan did after all join the Federation, and things between Jolie and Thorgan are bound to be complicated. Mainly because Thorgan doesn’t realize just how much the little doctor has gotten under his skin and he’s intent on using his newly restored ability on all of the beauties he can find. Jolie, on the other hand, wavers between trying to convince herself that he means nothing to her and plotting to make him regret his fickle ways. Ooh, you just know this is going to end badly. ;-) Oh yeah, did I mention that the Union wants Thorgan back? ‘Cause they definitely do.

Most of the story is spent with only Jolie and Thorgan, but there are a couple of secondary characters worth mentioning. Welther Graf is Jolie’s boss and he offers to hurt Thorgan for messing with her. What a good guy! Malia, a receptionist where Jolie works and her best friend, has a plan to help Jolie make Thorgan realize just what he’s missing. Ah, girlfriends are so helpful!

With plenty of action, some of it not involving Thorgan’s newly restored abilities, and a blossoming love story underneath, THE CYBORG RECRUITMENT PROJECT is a great choice for your next book buying trip.
