Somewhere in the Midwest - Present day
Leah’s
best friend’s annual Halloween party has once again rolled around,
and like all dutiful friends, Leah will attend, but under protest.
After all, at last year’s party she met the man of her dreams, who
seemed to think she was the woman of his dreams, but then he
broke her heart, proving once again just how bad her luck with men
really is. However this year is going to be different, there’ll be
no more looking for Mr. Right, this time, it’s just a search for Mr.
Right Now. When a handsome pirate with a distinctly flirtatious
glint in his eye and a generously sized “sword” appears, Leah
decides it’s time to let her inner sex-kitten out to play.
Hmph,
I must say I’ve been to many a Halloween bash and I’ve never had the
luck to run into anyone like Leah’s pirate, oh well, there’s always
next year. ;-)

Aboard
the starship Anthon in the Taconian Galaxy and on planet
Lannar - 3040
As her
ship’s chief mechanic, Sash doesn’t have time to be sick, in fact,
despite all appearances; the itchy skin, feverish flesh and ashen
color, she’s certain she’s not ill now. Nope, they’re just about to
land on Lannar and Sash is determined to go on planet and enjoy her
time off. Once on Lannar, the strange feelings coursing through Sash
only get worse and they rise to a fever pitch when she meets the
intense eyes of a man named Kade. For his part, Kade knows just
what’s ailing the pretty Earth woman, and he knows just what it’ll
take to “cure” her.
Secrets in her past, strange occurrences in her present, you might
think Sash is in trouble, but don’t worry, it’s the kind of trouble
most readers would happily stumble into. I know I would.

Simone
Harris’s brother, Jerold, was killed in action overseas, and the
closest thing she had to a mother, Elijah Russell’s grandma,
recently died of cancer. Now the only thing Simone has to look
forward to is Elijah’s return home. Simone doesn’t know just when
her feelings for Elijah, Jerold’s best friend, turned into love, but
somehow, sometime, they did. Now Elijah is coming home from the same
war that killed Jerold and Simone is determined to show him just how
much he’s been missed. Elijah promised his best friend to look after
his sister, but worries that Jerold wouldn’t want him paying such
close, personal, attention to her. Will Elijah let Simone in on the
secret of his feelings for her, or will he turn her away and break
what little is left of her heart?
Tender
and yet full of passion, this story will tug at your heartstrings.

Micki
Sloane is a successful romance novelist, but her muse has gone, and
now she’s wondering how exactly she’s supposed to write stories of
love when she herself doesn’t believe in it. Where have all the
heroes gone? A slightly tipsy wish on a star results in the arrival
of Micki’s very own hero. Well, he assures her he is. Micki’s
not easily convinced though, after all, Keelan Os’tana is an alien,
he’s kidnapped her and taken her aboard his ship, and he seems
convinced that she’s his slave. Not exactly what Micki had in mind
when she pictured a hero.
Though
Keelan might not strike Micki as heroic in the beginning, I think by
the end of the tale she’s convinced, I know I was. :-)
Sunshine for a Vampire
-
N.J. Walters
Boston, Massachusetts and the surrounding area - Present day
Sunshine DeMarco comes from a good family, she’s petite and curvy
with beautiful blue eyes and gorgeous blonde hair, so you’d think
she’d be pretty popular, but alas, in Sunshine’s world, she’s an
outcast. You see, vampires are supposed to be tall and lean, dark
eyed and dark haired, the very antithesis of Sunshine’s wholesome
good looks. Oh well, despite her society’s disdain, Sunshine has
made a happy life for herself, she has her garden and her cottage,
she doesn’t need anything else. But then comes a huge celebration to
honor a European bigwig and unfortunately, Sunshine’s brother,
Rainier, can’t attend, so she’ll have to represent the family. A
darkened terrace, a strange vampire with passionate green eyes and a
very enjoyable encounter in the gardens convince Sunshine that there
just may be something missing in her life after all. However her
confidence isn’t great and she runs home to her safe little cottage.
Will the stranger track her down, and if he does, will he accept a
vampire in his life who’s so very different from the norm?
Sweet
and spicy, this little gem will endear Sunshine and her stranger to
readers. I hope to see these characters again, and y’know, I got the
distinct impression Rainier is single, doesn’t he deserve a story of
his own? ;-)
A Man
of Vision
-
Kate Willoughby
Paris,
France and Florence, Italy - Present day
Delphine Alexander is a businesswoman, true, her business is a bit
out of the ordinary (she’s a courtesan by contract) but it’s still a
business. Her latest patron has decided to marry and acting in a
very un-French manner, has ended his sponsorship of Delphine. No
matter, for her next patron is in the works, the famous sculptor
Cristoforo Valtieri has offered a very generous sum for Delphine’s
company. A workaholic, Cristoforo seems hell-bent on driving himself
into the ground while working on his latest commission. True, he and
Delphine interact multiple times a day, but the acts don’t seem to
offer him much respite from his demons. Finding her heart
inexplicably bound up in Cristoforo and his health, Delphine wonders
if it wouldn’t be better to leave before he drives himself, and her,
around the bend. Is something wrong with Cristoforo, and is there a
chance he feels more for Delphine than mere passion? If he doesn't
act fast, she may disappear like the wind.
Readers are sure to enjoy discovering just what exactly is going on,
and learning if Delphine has found the man who will make her want to
give up her business.
Social
workers, mechanics, soldiers, authors, artists, aliens and vampires,
this wonderful collection of stories represents people from across
social strata, not to mention time and space. Fiery passion, tender
lovemaking, and characters that will worm their way into your hearts
prove once again that Ellora’s Cave has quite a few extremely
talented people writing for them. The authors that contributed the
stories to SEASONS OF SEDUCTION VOLUME III have outdone themselves.
