Ashley West-Montgomery still suffers from nightmares of her near-death experience in the Philippines. Thank goodness she had Sherman there with her, since Myles couldn't be. Though Ashley and Myles have had their problems, Ashley still loves him and wants no other. Upon their return home, Ashley is immediately ensconced in the arms of her mate and lover, Myles. Under his love and patience, Ashley slowly emerges from the frightening memories. Unfortunately, life is about to get even tougher. Myles takes her home to her mama's and Ashley is fine, but only as long as Myles is around. Things are moving along when a threat from the past rears its ugly head. Will Myles be able to protect his princess and the others of the pack?

Wow! I've been waiting for Myles and Ashley's story for quite some time, and I have to say...it's worth the wait. In A FRAGILE FAMILY, Myles not only has Ashley under his protection and care, but Sherman as well. It's rather interesting to watch Myles care for his new found family. Once a beautiful vivacious woman, Ashley is now a frightened little girl clinging to her only links, Myles and Sherman. A bond was formed between Sherman and Ashley, one that nothing can break and thank goodness Myles understands this. Now that's not to say he isn't jealous of the time that Sherman has gotten to spend with Ashley, because he is, but the trust he has in his mate is beautiful. The sex between Myles and Ashley is wild yet breathtaking. Secondary characters include all the members of the Montgomery Pack. When a pack member is in danger, this family will get down and dirty to protect one of their own. We also have a villain or two and though I won't go into any details...these enemies are not what you'd expect.

J.J. Massa certainly gives fans of her Montgomery series their money's worth with her latest release, A FRAGILE FAMILY, which is the first in the Montgomery Legacies. That means there's more to come and this reviewer can't wait.
