Present Day

Olivia Templeton needs help that only Dr. Seth Hayden can provide.  Labeled the Black Widow by the media after the death of three husbands in fairly short order following the wedding, Olivia is on the verge of being arrested for murder.  Realizing she must have help to understand the strange things that have happened to her all of her life, and to find out if she is, in fact, the cause of her husband's deaths, Olivia solicits the help of the premier paranormal expert.

Seth Hayden was anticipating a nice night in when a bewigged woman barges into his house demanding his help.  Figuring out quickly who she is from the nightly news reports, Seth is decidedly not inclined to help her out.  Then the lights short out, the earth shakes, she takes off her dark glasses...and Seth is lost.

Will Seth tempt fate and become the fourth victim in the CURSE OF THE BLACK WIDOW?  Well, based on the blazing attraction that explodes to life between Seth and Olivia when he opens the door to her knock, it's a definite possibility.  Olivia is a woman on the edge and Seth a skeptic of her motives.  It doesn't take long, though, before these two find common ground, common bed, common wall -- you get the message. LOL

The plot is an interesting one and the suspense builds quite nicely in the beginning.  Unfortunately, the tale quickly devolves into a corny mess.  Seth's green goo gun that frightens apparitions starts the downward slide followed quickly by a nicely evil villain's subsequent tumble into whininess.

Although it has it's good points, overall I'd give CURSE OF THE BLACK WIDOW a pass.
