Scotland - Present Day

Ericka Russell hates traveling.  Frankly, she hates leaving her house and, as the head of research for the Center of the Restoration of Folklore and Mythology, she hasn't had to as her laptop is her link to the world.  But Ericka's beloved Aunt May, the one who created Ericka's perfect job, has done something crazy...May bought a castle.  Not just any castle either.  May bought Castle MacKinnon, the castle that has been haunting Ericka's dreams and one that Ericka hasn't been able to authenticate.  But historic significance or not, Ericka has traveled to Scotland to make sure her aunt hasn't been bamboozled by some Scottish realtor.

Castle MacKinnon turns out to be much more than Ericka ever expected.  A gangling puppy, ghosts, a man who turns to stone in the morning light, and an evil monk all come together to create a situation no contemporary woman is prepared to deal with.  Is Ericka going mad or is it a prank set up by her aunt?  But if it's a prank, why is Ericka having such erotic and realistic dreams involving Gavin MacKinnon, eldest of the cursed MacKinnon clan?

A wonderfully entertaining tale, CURSE OF THE GARGOYLE offers erotic romance, drama, humor, and magic.  Ericka is a modern day woman who does not willingly believe the things that are going on around her.  She is actively looking for scientific explanations to the occurrences almost up until the very end.  Gavin MacKinnon, though gorgeous and a definite alpha-male, is thoroughly confused.  He went to sleep in one century and has seemingly awakened in another.  Was it witchery that brought him into the future and what happened to his family?

Secondary characters include Aunt May, a sharp old woman who is not about to let anyone get the better of her; Belvedere the gamboling puppy who is a bit of comic relief; and Leod, the monk who is seeking to make a name for himself by mastering the dark arts.  They all come together to provide the background to the plot and set the stage for future events involving the MacKinnon clan.
