Deer Run, Kentucky ~ Present Day

Geologist Casey Delaney is out exploring the mining cave when she is captured by Connor Fagan. He's handsome, a smooth talker, but he's also a vampire. Each time Casey looks into his eyes, all she can think about is letting him touch her, taste her. Being a virgin doesn't help matters. In one weakened moment, Casey calls out for help. She needs a savior but will one come? Is there someone to hear her mental cries for help? Suddenly another vampire enters the cave. His eyes are the bluest Casey has ever seen and with one whispered word in her mind...trust...Casey knows that her prayers were answered. Her savior has arrived. Or has he?

The youngest of the three Raven brothers, Dirk is itching for a mission of his own and it seems he's finally got one. Oh, not because his big brother, John, is giving it to him. No Dirk gets the assignment to find the missing girl only because John's wife is expecting their first child any day now, and Eric is still recovering from his last assignment where he found his mate, Lydia. Dirk arrives in the small town of Deer Run and is immediately assaulted by a shout for help in his mind. Before Dirk has time to think about this anomaly, he wraps his brain around the fact that Casey Delaney is still alive and she needs him. Dirk arrives to find her unturned and asks with his mind and his eyes for her trust. Casey is a virgin and Dirk knows it's only a matter of time before Connor turns her and takes her innocence all in one fell swoop.

However, there is a slight snare in this rescue mission...well, two actually. One, Dirk is extremely attracted to Casey and after one hot kiss, he knows she belongs to him. The second, and probably the worst of all...Connor Fagan is the vampire who killed the Raven brothers' father, Roth. This puts Dirk in a quandary. Will he be able to save Casey and himself, or will Dirk fall prey to anger and the thirst for revenge?

Third in her intriguing The Ravens Revisited series, DIRK is a titillating and thrilling adventure. Dirk has always been the calm one. Anyone who looks in his eyes feels that immediately. When Dirk comes to Casey's aid, that calm is tested in more ways than one. All the Ravens have a bit of vampire DNA in them and as long as they aren't bitten, everything is okay. Unfortunately for Dirk, in order to prove he's a vampire to Conner he's given the first rights to Casey. Once he drinks a bit of her blood (only for show) Dirk is hooked. The hunger gnaws at his insides, the beast begging for release. This doesn't bode well for either Dirk or Casey. Casey shows what a strong and resilient woman she is. She believes Dirk is there to save her, but when he drinks her blood, she finds herself wanting him...big time. Is she trading one monster for another? However, something about Dirk is different and in his arms she finds safety, whereas in Conner's she doesn't. It will take both Dirk and Casey's strength of resolve to end Conner's reign of terror and the others in his Clutch. The sexual encounters between Dirk and Casey are explosive and steamy. Talk about hot and sweaty. Whew! Secondary characters include brief appearances by Dirk's brothers, John and Eric and their spouses, plus their cousins, Holt and Drake. We also have the twin red-heads, and a teenage boy from Conner's Clutch.

Arousing, enthralling, and just plain good, DIRK is a must read for those fans who enjoy the paranormal, erotic romance, and a hero that is so darn sexy you can't stand it.
