Erotic Paranormal Romance
New Orleans – Present Day
Undercover Vice
cop Brenden Wallace is investigating Exotic Jewels, an escort
service, to see if it's a front for prostitution. Although he's tied
to a chair, and ready to take whatever his female escort, Líadán,
dishes out, Brenden has to keep his mind on the job at
hand. However, it's hard to think about that when she's arousing him
to a fever pitch, taking him deeper on the darker side of sex. Just
when he thinks he's got her, the lady surprises the hell out of him
by whispering she knows he's a cop. The case blown, at least for
today, Brenden finds himself thinking about Líadán and how good the
sex would be. He calls her, and from there his life irrevocably
changes, and it may not be a good change. Women are turning up dead,
their throats slashed and their blood gone. After learning what
Líadán is, Brenden has to wonder…Is Líadán somehow connected to
these deaths? What will he do if she is?
Líadán Niamh
loathes her life and what she is until Brenden. The first time she
meets him, Líadán wants him more strongly than she's wanted a man in
a long time. They finally end up in bed together where they blister
the sheets, and Líadán wants to end it. She knows that if she
doesn't then Auguste, her Master, will make Brenden's life hell. Líadán
is surprised and pleased when Brenden accepts her for whom and what
she is -- a vampire -- instead of looking at her with loathing.
Unfortunately for both of them, Auguste knows of Líadán's
fascination and feelings for Brenden and takes full advantage. Has Líadán
cost Brenden his freedom by falling for him? Can Brenden and Líadán
find a way to break the spell Auguste has cast on them both, or are
they doomed to serve him forever?
FLESH AND THE
DEVIL is a dark, erotic, paranormal romance with two people who have
something in common besides lust. Brenden is a loner; except for his
sister, Dani, there's no one else close to him. His marriage ended
badly because Brenden was always too caught up in work. Líadán is a
loner of sorts as well, and didn't choose the life she lives, but
doesn't know how to get out of it. When Líadán and Brenden come
together it's explosive, and the sex is off the charts. Brenden
enjoys her bite, even begs for it at times. There are a couple of
surprises woven into the story and I won't go into details about
them for fear of giving the story away. I will say this however, Ms.
Quinn does a damn fine job of grabbing a reader's attention and
keeping it. There are a few secondary characters, but they are
mostly there for background. The only other character that stands
out other than Brenden, Líadán, and the evil Auguste, is Brenden's
sister, Dani. She's smart, funny, and a practicing witch. A good
witch with a secret or two as well. One of those affects Brenden,
and Dani has yet to tell him about it. Intrigued? Good!
Author Devyn
Quinn pens a torrid romance with all the elements of a good story.
She's created compelling and fascinating characters, a spell-binding
storyline, and included some of the hottest, steamiest, naughtiest
sex scenes that are sure to get the juices flowing. So head on out
