Shilo McKenzie is a psychic, an electro-kinetic to be precise. Betrayed by her father, Shilo spent most of her life being experimented on by the government. In the midst of a brief trip to the city, she’s cornered by not one, but two lycans. Using her abilities, Shilo manages to take one of them out of commission before collapsing. Now she’s been captured by the other lycan and taken to his home. Sheesh, she just can’t seem to catch a break!

Dante was in the middle of hunting a rogue alpha in his territory when he caught the incredibly rich and heady scent belonging to Shilo. After seeing what she can do, Dante realizes she’ll have to be treated with extreme caution. He’ll just have to resist the call of his blood to claim her, after all, despite her strength, she is just a human and they can’t be claimed. But then Dante learns that psychic humans are in a whole different league. Shilo is available after all.

Shilo is one very lucky woman. Sure, most of her luck has been bad; a father’s betrayal, government experiments, attempted rape by a lycan years ago, but now, her luck has definitely taken a turn for the better. If she can get past her trust issues, Shilo will learn that the HUNGER OF THE WOLF is the best thing that she’s ever encountered. Dante has always wanted to take a mate and have children, but he’s never met a woman that he liked well enough to live with forever. After all, once they’re bonded, that’s it, no other women, ever. Now that he’s met Shilo, there’s no going back, he’ll do whatever it takes to protect her and show her that they belong together. His lieutenants, Maurice, Kane, and Jessie, are also determined to claim Shilo’s love. I did mention how lucky Shilo is, didn’t I? ;-)

Secondary characters consist of members of Dante’s pack for the most part. Julie is one of the pack’s few women, she will do her best to become Shilo’s friend and help her alpha woo her in the process. Felicity, Charlie, Dax, Etienne, Johnny and Davie are cubs in the pack and are the first children Shilo has ever really spent time around. Active and curious, they can be a bit much for someone who’s not used to kids. The rogue alpha and his pack are determined to get Shilo on their side, whether she wants to be or not. And the Feds will make an appearance, after all, Shilo is very important “property."
