Erotic Paranormal Romance

New Orleans, Louisiana ~ Present Day

As the first Monere Mixed Blood Queen, Mona Lisa has no idea what her new charges will expect of her. A child of the moon, Mona Lisa is stronger, faster, and more powerful than humans, and now she has the entire territory of Louisiana to protect and rule. Since part of her is human, it should prove interesting to see how the full-blooded Monere's will treat her. Mixed Bloods are looked down upon, and some are even killed for being inferior. Mona Lisa has quite a few powers though, such as her ability to shift into a Bengal tiger, and heal people, which will definitely come in handy with this position. The only problem is, it seems her healing can only happen when she is intimate with the injured person.

Along for the ride are her two lovers, Gryphon and Amber, the men who have her heart and soul. Their love and devotion keeps Mona Lisa's inner beast from escaping, something she fears more than anything. At first, things seem to be going well. But that doesn't last long as a rival queen, Mona Louisa, is intent on destroying Mona Lisa, and everything she holds dear. So much for an easy transition.

Wow! Just...wow. This follow up to MONA LISA AWAKENING is one fabulous read, full of love, heartache, deception, and plenty of steamy sex. Mona Lisa is at once funny, yet tragic, aware at all times that she could lose the ones she loves, including her brother Thaddeus, who has his own rare abilities that are just now awakening. MONA LISA BLOSSOMING is all about our heroine accepting who she is, which includes the ugly side of her beast-self that she is afraid to unleash. But thankfully she has Amber and Gryphon to soothe her; one so masculine and primal, the other sadly beautiful. They both provide her with different needs, but love her equally, as she does them. Sunny's writing is quite descriptive, pulling the readers into this special world that she has created, and allowing them to feel as if they too are part of the story. Secondary characters, such as Mona Lisa's many warrior guards and other Mixed Bloods that she has taken under her wing, and Halycon, the lonely Demon Prince who is in love with her, are all familiar faces that readers of the first book will remember. Some new characters will also be introduced, and the readers, along with Mona Lisa, will have to decide just which Queen their allegiance lies with.

I very rarely give out the highest honor that RRTE awards authors with, but Sunny's MONA LISA BLOSSOMING was one of those few novels that I hated to see end. Do not miss out on this highly entertaining and sensuous tale!
