Tee was always there for Raven when Acier wasn’t, and when Raven chose Acier over Etienne, he went crazy. Etienne wants Raven with every part of his being and may even kill Acier to have her.

Etienne even taunts Raven by sleeping with her sister Treena on her wedding day! And as Raven watches them together, she can’t help but want to trade places with her sister. But even though she does love Tee, her heart and soul belong to Acier. But Etienne is not willing to take no for an answer. Acier has to leave Raven on some business, which makes her vulnerable to Etienne. Without a care for his brother or Raven, Tee practically rapes Raven thinking this will make her leave Acier. Even though Raven feels violated, she still adores Etienne and is now confused about her feelings. Raven goes to Acier and tells him what has happened. Acier is fed up and feels a bit betrayed because Raven is so confused about her feelings for him and his unstable brother. Acier will challenge his brother to death for the hand of Raven. Etienne accepts because his hatred for Acier has grown. No one can reason with the brothers, not Raven and not their dear cousins and uncles who know the outcome could end with either Acier's or Etienne’s death.

MOONLIGHT HEALING is book number three in the on-going love triangle between Acier, Raven, and Etienne. Poor Raven is constantly being pulled from both sides much like a piece of meat between these two brothers. Her heart is truly torn between which brother she should be with. But, Marilyn Lee finally concludes with whom Raven belongs. Acier and Etienne are unique characters. Acier is the more cut-and-dried of the two -- what a true hero should be -- whereas Etienne is more of an anti-hero in his thinking and his actions. I was on the fence about whom Raven should choose. Etienne is the quintessential bad boy that a woman like Raven would love to have in her bed. Acier is steadier and belongs in Raven’s heart.

Some of the sex scenes may be uncomfortable to read, especially the one where Etienne forces Raven to have sex with him. Marilyn Lee leaves it up to the reader to decide if Etienne is a cold hearted individual or just a man who wants love and companionship with the one woman he has known and loved for so long. There are also a multitude of other characters from Ms. Lee’s other books that come and go and act as the voice of reason between Acier and Etienne. If you are a fan of the Moonlight series, you maybe surprised where Ms. Lee has taken this love triangle. She leaves it open for one of them to find happiness elsewhere. As always, Marilyn Lee can write erotic and amazing sex scenes with bigger than life characters. If you are one who likes a story where the heroine has two men fighting over her along with an explosive plot, MOONLIGHT HEALING is the one to read.
