Bayside, California - Present Day

Kimberly Brenin is a werewolf but she does not understand fully what that entails. She knows nothing of pack life. Her parents broke from the Lycan pack before Kimberly was born, and when they died, her older brother, David, raised her. Kimberly also works as a paralegal at the law firm of Lewis and Sinclair, whose biggest client is Nico Cassamonti. There is something about Nico that disturbs Kimberly, something that she can’t quite put her finger on. Yes, he is hot and she secretly lusts after him, but why do the hairs on the back of her neck stand up when he is near?

When Nico corners Kimberly in the garage parking lot at work and she gets a close whiff of his scent, the pieces start to fall into place for her. Kimberly has been having nightmares for the past few months of a wolf chasing her and Nico smells an awful lot like the wolf in her dreams. Kimberly is frightened of Nico, who is obviously an Alpha werewolf, but she is also defiant. But then Nico pulls the ground right from under her again, when he tells Kimberly that it is against Lycan law for a werewolf to come into another’s territory without first gaining permission or making an offering to the Benandanti, the Alpha werewolf, which is Nico. Oh yeah, and one more thing, she is in heat.

Nico Cassamonti has the unusual ability to enter a person’s dream. Although he has been trying to get Kimberly’s attention for weeks, through her dreams and approaching her in the law offices at various times, she continues to shy away from him. But when he finally forces her to talk to him, he can’t believe how little she knows about Lycan culture and that she is unaware that she is in heat. Female Lycans give off a scent when they are in heat, and her scent is driving Nico crazy, but he knows of ways to help her during this difficult time. Knowing he can’t force her, Nico gives Kimberly four days, until the full moon, to come to him. But can he wait that long?

MYTH OF MOONLIGHT is an all-round fun, entertaining story that is full of colorful characters, a well-structured plot and a hero and heroine readers will love. Nico is in the midst of trying to bring peace between the Were (not just werewolves) clans, while also protecting himself from members of his own clan who disagree with what he is trying to do. Kimberly is naive, but smart as a whip and her one-liners will have readers smiling. There are also plenty of interesting secondary characters; Remy, Nico’s sarcastic and tough second in command; David, Kimberly’s over protective brother, who failed to explain Lycan biology to her and Cassandra, Kimberly’s boss at the law office and her brother’s love interest. What makes MYTH OF MOONLIGHT somewhat unique, and not just another romantic werewolf tale, is that Nico’s Lycan security officers are multicultural; there are African-American, Asian, and Latino werewolves, all loyal to each other and are truly brother’s in arms. For a truly enjoyable, well-written and interesting story, check out MYTH OF MOONLIGHT. With so many intriguing characters, be sure to look for the next story dealing with Nico’s Brachyurus clan by Ms. Andrews and Ms. Matthews.
