Somewhere in the United State, Five Years Ago

Rebecca is Taylor's best friend, and she is a true friend, able to look beyond the rarity of a relationship like the one Taylor has with Mikhel and Zach and appreciate her friend's finding happiness. Mikhel's parents and Byron, their Beta, are wise people indeed. All three know when their presence is not required and privacy is paramount. Byron's advice to Mikhel in the beginning leads to a happy ending that no one could have foreseen.
