Erotic Paranormal Romance

Virginia and Michigan - Present Day

After a night spent taking pictures, photographer Theo Billings is tired, but stoked by the prints.  One in particular is interesting and warrants a better look in the morning.  He doesn't know how true that is until he sees a news report the next day about a woman who died in the alley where he'd been the previous night.  Taking a closer look at the picture, Theo realizes he just might have a photo of the murder in progress and the murderer.

With Vampires closer than ever before to forming a Council to police themselves, Anna Grace, one of its proponents, is determined that no power hungry rogue messes up the discussions.  Titius, a psychotic vampire bent on world domination, fits the bill of someone to stop, and Anna has been chasing him for months.  Now that she's got a lead on his location, Anna heads to Virginia to force a confrontation and, hopefully, end Titius' reign of terror.  Who knew a human photographer would be the key to the upcoming fight.

Vampires don't like to get their pictures taken.  Theo's lucky shot helps Anna find Titius, but also puts Theo in danger.  Anna, generally a one-night-stand kind of woman, inexplicably finds herself going out with Theo.  Funny though he might be, he's still human and usually she's immune.  Even worse, when Theo comes to Titius' attention, Anna is more worried for him than for her mission.  Will Anna stop Titius before he can start his campaign towards taking over the world?  Can Theo show Anna that there can be more between them than sex?

Similar to the previous three books in the Blood Lines series, NIGHT'S JOURNEY is a combination of action and adventure.  The story is told from multiple points of view, but mainly Theo and Anna's.  Theo was in a bit of a life rut when Anna stole into it.  Barely making ends meet working for the local newspaper, he has no qualms about throwing that all away when opportunity brings something better into his life.  Anna has had several decades to become cynical about life and love.  She believes the old theory about vampires finding mates is a fallacy and, even if it is true, it probably isn't for her.

Vampires in Ms. Armstrong's world are bisexual by nature, so readers should be prepared for some homosexual encounters.  Secondary characters include Titius, a vampire crazy with his own power; Chey, a psychic who is a whole different kind of crazy; and a few other characters who provide background and tie-ins to the previous books in the series.  The sex is raw and often raunchy with a bit of darkness as befits vampires.  Will it transcend to something more from mere sex for Theo and Anna?  Pick up NIGHT'S JOURNEY and find out.
