the jewelry designs she’s producing are wonderful. But is she
getting too far into a relationship she can’t handle?
Mazati
is an Aztec warrior trying to save himself and a bit of his culture
through Hayley in Vonna Harper’s NIGHT FIRE. Introducing her to the
sexual side of herself, one that involves collars, chains, and the
kinkier side of erotic play, Mazati indoctrinates Hayley to the
slave-warrior relationship of Aztec times. But, while arousing, the
experiences also scare Hayley and, still stinging from her divorce,
she is unsure of herself. The story has an interesting premise as
Mazati seemingly takes Hayley back through time to experience the
Aztec culture, showing her things the archaeologists would never
discover about his people. The romance is not the norm and is
definitely on the edgier side, tending to be a bit uncomfortable,
but it is blended with snippets of history that round it out nicely.
