Antioch Space Station - Year 2534

After stealing an important data clip that could cause Earth's government to topple, Liberty, Cupcake and Dragana are holed up in Antioch.  They are waiting for Liberty to receive a vision implant from her family on Earth, illegal of course, but without it she must depend on Cupcake for her safety.  Ah Cupcake, a towering mountain of muscle, and also a lycan like her.  Deviant people like them are being disposed of on earth, and keeping a low profile in the hellhole of Antioch while waiting for her implants is important, until Cupcake is recognized.

Liberty is from a wealthy Earth family, but she joined a band of lycanthrope soldiers for hire years ago. Solomon is the leader, and her specialty is technology.  They've had many adventures, ending with this data clip and keeping it safe.  Ever since joining the group, Liberty has assessed and watched Cupcake closely. She doesn't know why she is scared to make the first move, but he always looks so serious, only an occasional stolen look from him gives her hope.  She has no trouble putting her life in his large, capable hands, pretty soon her life will be unimportant without him in it.

Cupcake has a hidden past that makes him feel Liberty is a much better person than he is.  He has longed for her from afar, and helping her while she is blind has been a privilege.  But, when people from his past find him, Liberty's life and his freedom are in jeopardy.

The first half of PRIMAL deals with Liberty and Cupcake coming to terms with their relationship, and the second half is the story of the data clip and the rebellion ready to erupt in Antioch.  Cupcake is in trouble, the world is at stake, and Liberty is in danger of having to wear denim-oh, well-she wouldn't be caught DEAD doing that.

Nathalie Gray has continued the story of Solomon and his group of soldiers for hire with the exciting and action packed PRIMAL.  There is non-stop action and several different elements to the story that keep our interest all the way through.  Ms. Gray always delivers the goods for a great reading experience as I've come to discover.

Solomon's group of lycanthropes is a great bunch of characters.  He and his girlfriend are the leaders, but the sparks of lust are still between them.  Dragana is the weapons Valkyrie, a crack shot, but living on the edge after the death of her twin-what else is there left to live for?  And there are also the requisite numbers of evil men, trying their best to humiliate and end Cupcake's life -- over Liberty's dead body.

PRIMAL takes you on a journey into a world in the future with similarities and differences from us.  FERAL (January 2007) is the first book in the Lycan Warriors Series, but PRIMAL totally stands alone, unless you'd like to read the hot romance of Solomon and Eva.  Just right to raise your blood pressure, you won't regret adding PRIMAL to the top of your reading pile.
