Massachusetts - Present Day

Devlin McKay can’t believe that little Emmy Sinclair, the tomboy-next-door, grew up into the beautiful, desirable woman she is today.  In the month since attending his parents’ barbecue, Dev’s convinced himself that his attraction to Emily (as she now prefers to be called) was just a passing thing, and he’ll be able to get through the next couple of weeks visiting his parents without ravishing Emily.  Then she asks him to teach her how to drive a man wild in bed.

Emily Sinclair has had a thing for Devlin since high school, but she’s kept it hidden all these years.  With him home for his sister’s wedding, and her writing an article about how to seduce a man, Emily decides this is the perfect time for her to act out the fantasies she’s always had about Devlin.  Hot as things are between Devlin and Emily, she has no illusions that they will have a happily ever after.  Hopes, however, are something Emily has in abundance.

EDUCATING EMILY is a sweet and sexy love story.  While Emily isn’t shy about going after what she wants, once she gets Devlin to agree to help her, she’s suddenly plagued with doubts.  The lack of experience that drove her to ask for help seems like a hindrance now, knowing that Devlin is more accustomed to sophisticated women.  Devlin isn’t sure what stuns him more: the fact that the tomboy who used to tag along with him, his brothers and her brothers, is now a sexy woman, or that she apparently wants him.

Secondary characters include Devlin’s two single brothers, Emily’s three single brothers, and her business partner.  Each of them help move Emily and Devlin’s relationship along, whether that was their intention or not, and leave the door open to possible sequels.  I for one would definitely enjoy seeing more of the McKays and Sinclairs.  A thoroughly enjoyable tale, I recommend EDUCATING EMILY.
