West Virginia - Present Day

Stuck in a secluded cabin with a blizzard raging outside was not Julia's idea at all. No, her sexy editor Ross Phillips suggested this as a way for Julia to get out of her rut. A writer's rut, that is. Since the death of her cat, Julia hasn't felt up to writing the historical romances she's famous for. Ross thinks she needs a change and has suggested erotica. With little experience in sex, Julia isn't sure that genre is right for her, no matter how hot the commodity is. That is until Ross shows up at the cabin. Now, thanks to the books he had her read, Julia is looking at Ross in a whole new way.

Ross's desire for Julia has grown gradually throughout their years working together. For the first few years as her editor, Ross treated her more like a kid sister than a woman. He's also aware that he's Julia's only friend, and has worried about crossing the line into lover. He now has plans to seduce her, even though he knows how inexperienced she is compared to him. That's why he suggested the new writing adventure, in the hopes that the books he gave her would make her curious. And he wants to be the one to answer any questions she has...

There's nothing wrong with doing your homework, and Julia's up for the challenge in EROTIC RESEARCH. She's had two lovers in her life who left a lot to be desired, and instead has found the perfect men in the books she writes. Aware of her high standards, Julia is content with her lot in life. Or at least she was before she delved into a world she knew nothing about. Her utter confusion at Ross's desire for her is understandable, since he's never given away his feelings for her, and it makes for a couple of funny moments. As for Ross, he knows there's a devil inside his brown-eyed angel who just needs a little coaxing to break free. He's had plenty of women in his life, but none mean more to him than Julia.

For a lighthearted, yet searing romance, Mari Carr will have you wanting to do a little EROTIC RESEARCH of your own.
