Tony and his best friend Jack have been after Dimitryi Ivanov for several years but he's managed to stay one step ahead of them. Bianca has only been a reporter for a short while, and has personal reasons for investigating this master criminal who's been getting rich by torturing, selling and raping innocent women and children.

Unsuccessful with their most recent raid into a local salon, Jack and Tony are frustrated and sickened as they look around at the dirty mattresses and dead bodies in the back room. Once again, they are too late, and innocent victims have suffered. Jack is determined to put the man behind bars that almost killed his fiancée, Clarke. Watching from the streets, Bianca knows this latest raid is tied to Dimitryi and seeks inside information. She knows that Jack is headed to her best friend Clarke's restaurant and Tony will be there as well. Bianca grabs a bite to eat, and waits for Clarke and Jack to leave, then gathers her courage to seek out Tony.

Bianca can't believe how handsome Tony is and every time she's around him, she feels nervous and tongue-tied. But she asks him if he would consider a collaboration of their efforts to capture Dimitryi and his murderous gang. As a cop, Tony has no intention of sharing information with a reporter. He also knows that investigating this type of madman could be dangerous. Still, Bianca manages to convince him that anything he shares will be held in the strictest confidence.

They befriend each other and discuss the case for about three hours. They both come to the realization that there is a leak somewhere in Tony's organization who has been feeding Dimitryi information on the investigation. Bianca thanks Tony for his time and starts to pack up for the night. He leaves the table for a moment and quite by accident, Bianca notices a bound woman on his screen saver. Enthralled with the picture, Tony notices her reaction. Bianca denies being submissive, but Tony convinces her to explore some of her fantasies and to admit their mutual attraction by spending the weekend with him. Intrigued and excited, Bianca agrees.

Author Kori Roberts gives us a glimpse into the horrific atrocities suffered by victims of the sex trade. Sadly, the innocent are preyed on as they seek freedom from poverty. She also engages us in a stirring account of two people who think they want only a sexual relationship, but find they need and want more. We watch Tony as he masterfully convinces Bianca to offer her trust and realize her strength in submissive pleasure. The sexual chemistry between these two is so electrifying that they can barely keep their hands off each other. Tony is quite eager to share all he knows about giving erotic gratification, and Bianca joyfully receives all he has to offer.

Soon an important clue helps us grasp that the mole is closer than we think, and the tale takes an unexpected turn. LOVE ON THE RUN is one of best stories I've read in a while. I enjoyed the plot, the characters were an intricate part to making the story believable and the sex was sizzling enough to burn your fingers.
