Chicago, Illinois; Dallas, Texas - Present Day

Lily West didn't like her father trying to dictate and run her life so she left her home in Dallas, Texas and moved to Chicago where she became a Private Investigator. Hired by the museum to check out the security system, Lily is reprimanding the night shift over their laziness when a man on a Harley pulls up taking her back to ten years ago, and the memories of Mac Canfield. Lily had been madly in love with Mac and after taking her virginity, he left without so much as a thank you for the good time. She comes back to the present and watches in astonishment as the man breaks into the museum and quickly returns with a priceless artifact tucked under his arm. Lily comes out of her reverie and pulls her gun telling the guy to halt. When he turns around, Lily comes face to face with her past.

A member of Wild Riders, an elite group of men who the government calls upon when things are stolen from them, Mac Canfield arrives at the museum, grabs the artifact which contains a deadly virus and believes he's free and clear until he hears her voice. What the hell is Lily West doing here? And how after ten years does that sexy voice still make him hard as a rock? Lily thinks he's a thief which is okay since he can't exactly share that he's actually one of the good guys. When someone starts shooting, though, Mac grabs Lily and hightails it out of there. She's furious and he's screwed because until the exchange is made, Mac can't let Lily go. A heated kiss between them and both are ready to hit the sheets. Unfortunately, that's all Mac can give Lily because of his job. However, he will have to deal with a woman hell-bent on keeping him forever.

Mmm...don't you just love a man in leather and riding a Harley? I sure do, and readers of Jaci Burton's RIDING WILD are going to lust after Mac and the other Wild Riders. Growing up, Mac and Lily were on opposite sides of the street; she was the little rich girl and he was the grease monkey and not fit for Lily. Mac turned his life around with a little help from a friend and now he works on the right side of the law...in a matter of speaking. <g> Lily knew that she wanted Mac, but her father didn't agree. He ruled her life until Lily had had enough and she moved away. Mac's desertion hurt her deeply and when they meet again, she can't help but wonder if he plans to do it again. The story heats up as danger draws closer and closer to our two lovers, and when the heat gets to be too much, Lily and Mac are all over each other. The sex is torrid, naughty, and delicious. Secondary characters include Mac's comrades at Wild Riders, and Lily's father who has an apoplexy when Lily returns home with Mac in tow. <g> You talk about taunting your father, well, Lily is a woman after my own heart. Of course, we also have a bad guy who wants the virus back and he will do whatever it takes to get his hands on it...including murder.

First in Jaci Burton's Wild Riders series, RIDING WILD lives up to its title and more.
