Satyr’s Myst Resort, the Caribbean - Present Day

When Rick Hastings wakes up, he is surprised to find he’s in his own bed.  Trevor Jackson, the man he’d met the night before, drugged Rick, kidnapped him and now has him handcuffed in his own private retreat?  What kind of kidnapper does that?  Worse, Rick finds himself still attracted to Trevor.  Unashamedly bisexual, Rick’s not sure he should desire his captor so much.  That Trevor is just as attracted is obvious but, unfortunately, it’s just as obvious that Trevor doesn’t like being attracted to a man.

Hired by Rick’s former lover to protect him from a crazed stalker, Trevor Reaper is in hell.  He’s always had fantasies about being with a man, but his conservative, macho family has caused him to suppress those fantasies.  Being with Rick is a challenge, but his assignment is supposed to be for three days, so surely he can hold on to his sanity for that long.  When help arrives though, it’s in a very surprising package.

Lilah Tanner agreed to keep Rick occupied when her cousin, Elise, asked it of her, but Lilah had no idea what she was in for.  The man who opens the door believes her to be his sexual salvation, something the plain Lilah has never imagined herself to be.  Then Rick arrives, and Lilah realizes she’s to be sequestered on this island paradise with two handsome, virile men.  Not wanting to be the woman they want because she’s the only woman available, Lilah has no intention of getting involved with either.  Yet the island heat loosens her inhibitions, and she can’t help but wonder what it would be like to be involved with both of them.

Hot sex and intriguing characters are just the beginning in SATYR’S MYST.  An incredibly erotic book, the time Lilah, Trevor and Rick spend together is a journey of discovery for them all.  Rick has always been aware of the fact that he likes both women and men, and is comfortable with it.  However, a few years earlier he had his heart broken, and since then he’s distanced himself from people and sex. Trevor retired from the police force because of an injury, and knows that his attraction to men will not go over well with a family of former cops and military men.  After meeting Rick, those fantasies have a face to them now, and he wants Rick, even knowing he shouldn’t.  Lilah has always been not only the black sheep of her prudish family, but the plain one also – especially when compared to her beautiful cousin.  It’s difficult enough believing these men want her and not just because she’s the only woman available, but the beautiful cousin she always compares herself to is also the woman who broke Rick’s heart.

Fans of Ms. Harte may recognize Rick and Satyr’s Myst Resort from her previous release, REAPER’S REWARD, and Trevor – who begins the story with an assumed name, is the brother of the hero of that book.  Steamy enough to singe the fingers, SATYR’S MYST is also a very romantic tale, and one I highly recommend.
