New Mexico - Present Day

Diego Fuentes knows that Sorcha Morales is only at Tygers for one thing – and not what everyone else is there for.  Though Sorcha is a member of the exclusive adult club, the only reason the reporter is there tonight is to find Diego’s friends, Eric and Angel, for an interview.  Since a judge has warned Eric, Angel and Diego not to discuss the case Sorcha is investigating, Diego decides to distract Sorcha from her quest – and he knows just how to do it.  Only, he hadn’t counted on Sorcha turning the tables on him.

Two years ago, Sorcha’s previous Master introduced her to Diego, and she’s never forgotten him.  When he offers to take her to one of the upstairs rooms at Tygers, she’s tempted, but she’s not about to trade sex for a story.  Not only is her escape from him unsuccessful in that she doesn’t find Eric and Angel, but Sorcha also knows that she has made Diego very angry – and probably earned a punishment.  When she meets up with him again later, he offers her a choice: public punishment at Tygers, or turn herself over to him for a weekend.  Sorcha’s no idiot – she’s not about to pass up a chance to be at Diego’s mercy, but is she ready for all that entails?

SWEET SILENCE is a sizzling erotic tale.  It picks up pretty much where SWEET PERFECTION left off, but shifts the focus to Diego, the police officer investigating the case Eric and Angel had been involved in.  Sorcha’s impatience to break a big story has left her unemployed, and she’s sees an exclusive interview with Eric, Angel and Diego, as her ticket back to investigative journalism.  What starts off as a distraction for Diego turns into so much more, as he realizes that he may just have found the perfect woman.
In addition to return appearances from Eric and Angel, and Lucy and Lake (SWEET VIBRATIONS), and Ward, who is another officer, readers are introduced to the first of Diego’s six brothers, Dario.  There are hints of another book, possibly involving Ward and Lucy’s business partner (if Lucy has anything to say about it), and if the other Fuentes brothers are anything like Dario, it would be interesting to see more of them also.

While there are some allusions to things that happened in the earlier book, this one stands well enough on its own.  SWEET SILENCE is a book I highly recommend.
