London, England - Present Day

When Melissa Baker learns that her ex-fiancé is coming to England to bring her back to Sydney, she panics.  Not only is Barry too possessive and unused to being denied, he’s also a very large man, and not easily intimidated.  Melissa decides that the only way to convince Barry that she is no longer interested is to prove to him that she’s with someone else.

Richard Danville was not her first choice as fake fiancé, but he’s the only available man she knows.  Melissa and Richard had been seeing each other until she found out how much of a player he was.  True, she’s still attracted to him, but she has no intention of losing her heart to a man she believes doesn’t have one.  When Melissa’s other choice for fake fiancé, Alex Ryan, enters the picture, things only become more complicated.  Alex and Richard are old friends, and both have plans for Melissa’s future.  But is she ready for the kind of relationship they want?

A woman who’s been burned by love gets a second chance, the likes of which she’d never dreamed about in VELVET TIES.  When she and Alex met, they had both just recently ended relationships, and the timing wasn’t right for either of them to get involved.  Her later romance with Richard ended on a sour note, and no matter how much she may want him, she has no intention of being the latest in his long line of women.  It should only take a few days to convince Barry, but will she be able to do this without getting hurt?

Richard was first introduced in VELVET STROKES, and while the couple from that story, Elizabeth and Tom, make an appearance, this tale belongs to Melissa, Richard and Alex.  An enjoyable erotic novel, be sure to look for VELVET TIES.
