Though she has two more months before she can be initiated into the Circle of Maidens, Cori feels the pull of the magic, and knows that she must attend tonight’s ceremony, invited or not.  Since the island’s Heartstone was seized, the island’s vitality has waned, and on this night, while the Maidens perform the ritual, Cori helps summon the magic, and has a vision of a phantom man who brings her pleasure.  The Mistress of Magic and the island’s governor take this as a sign that Cori is the one who will retrieve the Heartstone.

King Anders would much rather be back on the battlefield where he’d spent most of his life, up until his cousin, the previous king, died.  Instead, he’s stuck in the oppressive fortress, awaiting the arrival of the island virgins so that he may choose one of them as his queen.  Seeking escape from the castle, Anders finds himself in the tower that houses the Heartstones of the islands under his kingdom’s control.  When he touches one of them, instead of feeling the cool crystal, he feels the warm and shapely body of a woman who brings joy back to his now dull world.  Even though he’s not quite sure if he believes in the magic, Anders has the feeling that his phantom lover will be one of his candidates for queen.

Cori’s mission is to recover the Heartstone, no matter the cost.  Yet, none of them were prepared for the king to choose her as his queen – or for him to be the man from her vision.  Will she still be able to succeed in her mission if it means killing the man she is coming to love?

SERVANT OF MAGIC is an intriguing magical tale.  Anders was never supposed to be king, and loved the freedom his life as a warrior provided.  Cori has always felt the magic of the island within her, and her only dream is to be one of the Circle of Maidens.  Now, both Anders and Cori’s lives have changed course and they find themselves in roles neither had wanted to fulfill.  As much as they enjoy each other though, Cori’s mission stands between them.  The chemistry between them sizzles, but will it be strong enough to keep them together when their relationship is put to the test?  Pick up your copy of SERVANT OF MAGIC to find out.
