The Citadel – Future

The Citadel is a Terran Fortress, built over the ruins of what was once an important place.  Shadowlords and Gatekeepers live there.  They have been given the task of protecting what is left of humankind from the evil that threatens extinction.  The Citadel is also the headquarters of the Reapers.

Argent Ben-Alkazar is the Fer Gait Toshee ---Primary Gatekeeper.  Argent has two half sisters; Corallin Tarnes and Aureolin Belvair. Their mother is the Ben Chiarn Mooar ---Great Lady of the Multitude.  Each sister has a Shadowlord half-brother…Lords Kheelan Ben-Alkazar,  Dunham Tarnes, ahd Naois Belvair.  The main trouble amongst the siblings is that the brothers are entirely too protective of the sisters.

Eanan Tohre is the newest of the Reapers to be brought to Terra.  He is as arrogant as any of his fellow lawmen and has no plans to find his mate and settle down.  Argent, Corallin, and Aureolin have always known that they would share the same husband and the husband they want is Eanan.  With permission from both their mother and Morrigunia, the Triune Goddess who made the Reapers, the sisters set out to convince their Grailtagh Reiht – Chosen Lover, that he wants what they want.

Keep the fire extinguishers handy.  Seldom has one man been so besieged and loved as Eanen Tohre, all under protest, of course.  EMBRACE THE WIND is not your usual Reaper story.  It is by turns, hot, funny, poignant and loving.  Add in politics, edicts and brotherly threats, uh, admonitions, and the reader has a very interesting story.   Charlotte Boyett-Compo shows that she does have a lighter side and that a Reaper can be almost as human as those he protects. Charlotte makes it work.  I recommend EMBRACE THE WIND.
