Kameron, Damien, Gavin and Kyle are all determined to find a mate, and when they stumble upon Zoe, they decide convincing her to be theirs is the way to go. After all, her sister is happily mated to four Cyborgs, surely they can convince Zoe that they are the logical mating choice for her. Just one problem, humans aren’t always known for operating on logic alone, and Zoe isn’t conforming to the Cyborg guide on mating.

Can four men with very little real-life experience charming women convince one very stubborn detective to become their mate?

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT introduces readers to four very delicious, extremely desirable men and the woman they’re destined to love. Although all of the men are individuals, they also have a tendency to have the same difficulties with Zoe, understandable since they all have the same core programming. As their brains evolve and emotions start to overtake their logic, they’re all thrown into some confusion. This leads to some very amusing situations and learning experiences that are sure to entertain readers. Zoe is a bright woman, and she quickly discovers that it would require a heart of stone to resist these tender, protective men who in some ways are very much like endearing little boys. However, just because they’re immature in some ways, that doesn’t take away from their incredible sexual magnetism or the undeniable skill that their programming gives them in intimate encounters. Can Zoe prevent herself from falling for the Cyborgs that she’s coming to view as hers, or will she find that just like Bronte, she too is destined to spend her life with four of the universe’s hottest hunks?

Though this story primarily focuses on Kameron, Damien, Gavin, Kyle and Zoe, there are a few characters from previous Cyberevolution books that also feature in this book. Zoe’s sister, Bronte, is the proud mother of three babies now, and she, along with her mates, Gideon, Jericho, Gabriel and Caleb, are integral to the happy ending our heroes and heroine deserve. Also important, vitally so since it’s his decision as to whether or not Zoe can become a citizen of the Cyborg Nation, is Reuel, the leader of the Cyborgs.

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT is the fourth in the Cyberevolution series and as such could be confusing for readers new to the series, but Kaitlyn O’Connor does a terrific job of providing the necessary background to understand the fascinating world she has created. Readers both new and old will enjoy this fast-paced, action packed and extremely hot book. That said, if you haven’t read the first three books in the series, get them as well, since you’re sure to enjoy them all. And hey, you’re going to be at New Concepts anyway to get your copy of RULES OF ENGAGEMENT, right? :-)
