New York, Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico - Present day

Bram Blackstone is one of New York’s top private investigators, unfortunately, New York isn’t where he wants to be. Bram yearns to be in Oklahoma with the man who stole his heart over a month ago. However, Declan O’Malley made it clear he isn’t looking for a relationship.

Dr. Declan O’Malley is happy with his job working at a rehabilitation facility. What he isn’t happy about is having Bram so far away. How could he have let his past get in the way of a future that could be so right? Declan is determined to get Bram back, and this time he’ll never let him go.

It seems like a happy ending is highly probable between these two good men, but the past has a way of coming back to haunt you, and it just may tear Bram and Declan apart forever.

TORTURED SOULS is the perfect name for this story as I’ve yet to read about two characters who’ve suffered as much as these two have. Bram was tortured and beaten by his parents repeatedly while growing up and due to their money and power, the authorities let it happen. He rescued his brother from their parents, but not before Thor was left with permanent paralysis. Despite all of this, Bram raised Thor to be a happy man and never sunk to the level of those who betrayed them both. Declan’s past isn’t much better. Raised first by an alcoholic mother, and then the foster care system, the only bright spot in his life was fellow foster child, Scott. Eventually the two grew up and became a couple, but their life together was soon ruined by Scott’s brain cancer and the side effects it caused. Alone now for a long time, Declan hasn’t been much for trusting anyone, hence his initial rejection of Bram. When they finally admit that they belong together, their passion is intense, but will it survive what’s coming around the corner?

Though this is the sixth book in the Men in Love series and features many secondary characters who starred in previous books, this story is very much a standalone read and will be easily understood by readers new to the series. If you enjoy reading about noble men who find passion and love in each other’s arms, you’re sure to like TORTURED SOULS.
