New York, New York – 1926

Sophia Hunter makes her way home at dawn from an all-night party of dancing and illegal booze when she sees a strange group of people gathering in Central Park. The people are conducting a ritual for the first day of spring. As she makes her way to the group, she realizes that the handsome man in the group gets more than her juices going. When the two touch, her magic that was long dormant comes to life just before she faints in his arms.

Daron West, a magi of European descent, has been searching the world for the one woman that will make him whole. He discovers that woman in Sophia, but quickly realizes that neither of them is ready for the commitment that they will have to make. As Daron courts Sophia, their romance quickly becomes desperately full of lust.

ENCHANT THE DAWN is a passionate tale of romance during the Prohibition era in U.S. history. Daron and Sophia scorch the nights and the days with their lust for each other, but Daron will not let them consummate their desire until Sophia is ready to trust him with her heart. Side characters Alan, who runs his family’s still, and June, a poor woman struggling to protect her daughter, will melt readers hearts.

I found the dialog to be interesting; however, I would have enjoyed reading more 1920's phrases and slang. The plot moved along nicely as the characters explained their background and how they all came to be one family in the city. Overall, I rate this book a nice little read.
