Erotic Historical Romance

Southampton & London, England – 1816

Lord Valentin Sokorvsky was kidnapped off a ship when he was eleven and sold to a Turkish brothel.  After ten years as a sex slave, a British Tradesman, John Harrison, rescues Valentin, along with his friend Peter Howard.

Several years later, John Harrison offers one of his daughters in marriage to Valentin, in exchange for the money he desperately needs to keep his shipping business solvent.  Valentin knows he needs to take a wife, a nice proper wife who will beget his heirs.  However, the two youngest daughters offered in marriage do not catch his eye, but rather Sara, the eldest and Johns’ favorite.

Sara Harrison is resigned to being on the shelf.  No man has ever enthralled her enough to give up her freedom, but then she sees Lord Sokorvsky in flagrante delicto with her maid.  Now all Sara can think about is the devastatingly handsome man who stirs her senses as no other.  When Valetin offers for Sara she gladly accepts, despite the wicked rumors that surround him.

Sara’s dreams of passion are more than fulfilled on her wedding night with the wildly sensual Valentin, but once the idyllic time in the country is over and they return to London, Sara soon realizes that her husband harbors dark secrets.  Someone is also out to ruin Valentin’s business, and his marriage.  Sara will have to have courage and faith in the man she has come to love if her marriage is to survive.  Valentin will need to be honest with Sara about his past, his present, their future and the dark secrets he conceals.  Will Sara be able to accept Valentin’s past or will she turn from him in horror?

SIMPLY SEXUAL is anything but.  Yes, there is a plethora of sex almost from the first page, and the sexual antics of the players never let up, but only builds in intensity with each subsequent chaper.  However, this is not simply a tale about sex.  It’s a story with an intriguing plot and is filled with complicated characters.  Sara is a strong-willed woman who is more than a match for Valentin in the bedroom, even if she is inexperienced.  Valentin is a man who has hidden his pain in an excess of sexual activity from the mild to the depraved.  He longs to unburden himself to Sara but fears her rejection. He tries to hide what he considers his abnormal need for sex from Sara but fails miserably.  But, Sara doesn’t shy away from his desires, she craves more.

When the past rises and threatens the future, Sara will be forced to learn things about her husband she never could have imagined, and she will have to find a way to free him from the past if they are ever to have a future together.

SIMPLY SEXUAL is an outstanding erotic novel, but readers should be warned that the sex is extremely explicit and includes ménages as well as male on male sexual interaction. However, the sex is only a part of the story, the love between Sara and Valentin is at its heart.  A highly sensual and enjoyable romance, I highly recommend SIMPLY SEXUAL.
