The desert outside Santa Carla, Mexico - Present day
Life is just not going smoothly for Marnie, pregnant
and on the run after her latest boyfriend nearly gets her killed.
Her only saving grace may be the pair of Catkind (half cat / half
man) who have vowed to protect her. But is that all they, or Marnie,
want them to do?
Tracey and Josh, two of Catkind’s finest, they share
a rocky past and it doesn’t look like it’s going to get better
anytime soon. No, things are bound to get complicated since each of
the men is convinced Marnie is his mate, and neither one is keen on
sharing.
With their enemies drawing near, can this trio make
the changes necessary for survival, or will they allow their
differences to tear them apart?
At the beginning of the CAT’S EYE you could be
forgiven for assuming Marnie is weak and easily led. Let me assure
you, that is not the case, she just needed the right incentive, or
should I say, incentives, to bring out her true colors. Bold,
brave and ready to take on anyone in pursuit of her
happily-ever-after, including two furry pains in the butt who don’t
know what they’ve got when it’s staring them in the face, she’ll
make a fabulous Queen if she gets the chance. Tracey is adorable,
charming and his voice is so sensual it’d make any girl beg for
more. Josh is the ultimate tough guy, stubborn, and prideful, he’s
let bad judgment rule him in the past. Will he make the same mistake
again, or will he embrace the two people on earth who love him the
most?
Marnie’s older sister, Gabriella has two Catkind
mates, Derek and Benjamin, and they’re the pair responsible for
bringing Josh, Tracey and Marnie together. Though their names may
have been cursed a time or two for that, I think in the end they’ll
be receiving some heartfelt expressions of gratitude.
If you like your heroes furry, your heroines strong
and your sex scorching, CAT’S EYE should be right up your alley. I’d
recommend reading the first book in the series CAT’S CLAWS (October
2007) before you read this story as it’ll increase your
understanding of the Catkind world. Also keep an eye out for CAT’S
CRADLE (coming soon).
