New Orleans, Louisiana - Present

Dr. Carly Chambers is shocked when she’s abducted from the hospital parking lot by two men while on her way home from work. She is taken to a house and told to treat a man’s gunshot wound. As she inspects the wound, Carly is amazed at the animal sounds she hears coming from one of the men. That amazement quickly turns to disbelief when she learns the men are shapeshifters.

Antonio Pantera is the unnamed leader of a pack of outcasts and the owner of an antique shop. After he’s shot, Carly is brought in to help him. His body burns to know her better, but he’s reluctant to act upon his feelings because humans and shapeshifters are not equal. Shapeshifters are stronger and faster. Without control, a shapeshifter could seriously injure or kill a human.

When Tony learns about a shapeshifter in trouble, he hesitantly seeks Carly’s aid. As she tries to help the imprisoned shifter, Carly is confronted by Slade, a new enemy of the outcasts. Slade is determined to unite all shifters under his authority. He believes that shifters are superior to humans and will stop at nothing to rid himself of Tony, one of the few staunch human supporters.

CHANGING TIMES is a hot paranormal romp. While nothing new is brought up in shifter mythology, the story does a great job with shifters as we know them.

The characters are engaging and the relationship between Tony and Carly sizzles. Their reactions to one another and the various situations are realistic. The secondary characters are well rounded and beg for their stories to be written.

The story is erotic, but there is a solid storyline; CHANGING TIMES is not only about sex. It’s a quick, sexy, story, the perfect accessory to while away an afternoon.
