But teaching the feisty Regan how to submit to her new master is a challenge that Shadow didn't anticipate. Nevertheless, he's up for the task. Will Regan's independence get in the way of what could possibly be the most exciting and sexually satisfying ride of her life?

Sex, for sex's sake, is neither romantic nor erotic. Especially when Shadow has another "slave" perform oral sex on him to prove a point to his wife. And that's just one of the problems I had with Tawny Taylor's DARK MASTER. I love a great BDSM story, where the reader is taken on a titillating journey that would make even the most dominant woman want to surrender. Sadly, that's not the case with this book. The characters are wooden, the dialogue juvenile, and the sex, while frequent, didn't get me at all hot and bothered. On top of that, some of Shadow's methods put me off, especially that little scene I spoke of earlier. I'm sure there are a few readers who may enjoy DARK MASTER, but I just can't find it in me to recommend it.
