Erotic Paranormal Romance

Present Day

You always want what you can't have, and Connor Hawkins has lusted after Cassie Claire for five torturous years. Even worse is that she lives and works on the ranch that he and his two brothers run, and since her father died years ago, Connor feels it's his duty to keep Cassie on. He's done his best to keep his feelings for her secret but, because it's Halloween, and a full moon, that will prove even more difficult. See, Connor is half-demon, and has lived for over two hundred years cursing his demonic existence. That's why he's steered clear of sweet little Cassie, who would surely die if she found out the truth. Little does he know that Cassie harbors the same feelings for Connor.

Lusting after her sexy boss has kept Cassie in a sensual fog ever since she came to work at the Hawkins Ranch. How is it that she can feel such passion for a man who keeps himself so closed off from the rest of the world? Could the distance she feels from Connor be a front to mask his own feelings for her? Cassie doesn't know, and she really doesn't care anymore; she has to have him. And the Halloween party is the perfect place to begin her innocent seduction. But has she started something that could prove dangerous to her?

Whew! Talk about hot and heavy. DEMON MOON starts off carnal and does not let up until the very last page. Cassie and Connor have a lot of pent up sexual frustration, and there is no way either of them are going to be able to deny it for much longer. I really enjoyed the contrast in the characters; one dark and tortured, the other light and carefree. It's no wonder that Connor is drawn to Cassie, since she represents everything that he isn't. In allowing his demonic side to control who he is, he's effectively shut out any potential happiness that he might have. Now, the excuse that he has for never getting close to anyone hurts him even more than his demonic nature. Cassie is wonderful at being both the temptress and the innocent at once, and she's determined to get Connor right where she wants him.

Secondary characters such as Connor's brothers, Cain and Caleb, provide humor in what could have been an extremely dark tale. They want Cassie and Connor together as well, and are more than happy to help Cassie get her demon. And I'm positive that we've not seen the last of those two.

An impassioned love story with plenty of titillating scenes, Cameron Dane's DEMON MOON should not be missed!
