Present Day

Alyssa Quinlan has been waiting for the moment where she can kill D'Angel, the sadistic vampiress who slaughtered everyone Alyssa held dear. Now Alyssa lives and breathes only for revenge, and the moment has finally arrived. Until he stops her. His name is Damian Cristo Salvatorio, and D'Angel is his to protect and serve. From the way he moves, Alyssa can tell she is up against a powerful opponent, yet nothing can prepare her for his sheer dominance. Even with her last breath, Alyssa is determined to take him out with her.

Though Damian despises D'Angel, there is no denying his maker's orders, which are to kill Alyssa Quinlan. And he's just about achieved that when one taste of her blood sends her memories roaring through him, and Damian is forced to save the woman he is meant to kill. Now Damian's prey has become much more, and with her help they can both defeat D'Angel. Yet how can he persuade the woman who has vowed to kill all his kind to trust him?

Two sworn enemies must look beyond their anger and assumptions if they wish to survive in Ann Lory's ETERNAL SURRENDER. Bitter and filled only with hate and anger, it's hard to believe that Alyssa can find happiness once again, especially in the arms of a vampire. But that's just what she does with Damian, who has his own demons to battle. Both are tormented souls looking to do what's right given their situations, and readers will be rooting for the deadly duo in no time. Secondary characters, mainly of D'Angel and her vampire brethren, were more campy than scary, but their deeds against Alyssa and others are no less brutal. And trust me, just because Alyssa hates Damian with a fiery passion, her body can't help but give in to his carnal demeanor, but their intense lovemaking doesn't distract from the story.
