Myrra Lansyr has traveled from her home planet of Ilyria to the planet Earth in an undercover mission. But things don’t go smoothly as she crashes off the side of a mountain and almost dies. She comes to, tied to a bed in a cabin in the middle of the woods. She was saved by a strange man named Brett who had a dream about Myrra falling from the sky. He has a special gift where he can see the future. He even saw his brother Nick’s death, and because of that, he feels tremendous guilt because he couldn’t stop the future.

From the moment Myrra awakens, she and Brett are at odds. She won’t give him any more information than is necessary, and even Brett is a bit secretive about the reason why he is all alone in the woods. Brett has enemies searching for him, and when they find Myrra alone, he kills them and takes Myrra with him to another hideout. Myrra will stay with him until she can recover from her wounds. Also, to bide their time, they begin to have more physical encounters to take off the edge. Myrra feels that sex is just a release of tension, whereas Brett is the type of guy who likes foreplay, and especially kissing. Myrra can’t stand to be kissed, and Brett tries very hard to keep Myrra under him and busy with his excellent kissing techniques.

As both these loners become closer emotionally, they know their time together is very limited. Myrra must find her commander and finish her secret mission. Brett, on the other hand, wants to know the truth about Myrra and what she is hiding. After some incredible nights of sex and pleasure, Myrra has no choice but to drug him and go her own way. But Brett won’t let Myrra go without a fight and searches for her. When he finds her, he will make her pay in the only way he knows how, by bringing her to the brink of sexual pleasure and need.

What else can I say about this alien romance other than the word hot? It doesn’t take long, but Myrra and Brett’s attraction for each other starts out as a very physical one and quickly becomes an all-consuming love affair. Myrra considers sex to be more of an action that will scratch an inch. In this case she is quite the aggressor, especially when she has her way with Brett. But Brett is also aggressive in his thinking and actions, so when it comes to the sexual aspect of their relationship, he tries to rule over her by making Myrra enjoy the experience, which enables her to finally feel after years of being aloof and cold.

MYRRA’S CHOICE does have some action, but most of the story is about Myrra and Brett as they cohabitate together in very close quarters. They try to live in the moment because they feel that each day brings them closer to death, since they are in a dangerous situation and their futures are unknown. There are some secondary characters who come and go that include Nick’s fiancé, Lexi, who comes on the scene with quite a bang, but most are soon forgotten. I think Eve Jameson did this on purpose, because the characters of Myrra and Brett are so larger than life. When they are on the pages, your attention is on them and only them. Eve Jameson has written a sexy tale that heats up the pages with multiple sex scenes. But even though you may feel there is too much on that end, by the end of MYRRA’S CHOICE, you will be a believer that Myrra and Brett are soul mates and hope they will survive in order to have a future of love and happiness together.
