Tayla
Mancuso is injured during a fight with a demon and when she wakes up
she’s looking into the eyes of a gorgeous doctor…who is also a
demon. She drifts off thinking he’s the sexiest thing she’s ever
seen. The next time she wakes up, Tayla is aroused and the good
doctor just happens to be the one she grabs for a little roll in the
hay. Of course, when she doesn’t climax (which she’s never done
anyway), Tayla is horrified to realize she boinked the demon doc.
She asks where she is and Eidolon explains that she’s in a demon
hospital which doesn’t sit too well with her. He also tells her that
if she doesn’t get help for her condition she will die. Tayla knows
she’s dying, but of what she hasn’t got a clue. Does Eidolon know
something that she doesn’t?
Demons,
Weres, and vampires are disappearing and if and when they turn up,
they are missing internal organs. Is someone selling them on the
black market? When Tayla reluctantly teams up with Eidolon to
uncover the truth, she finds out things that cause her beliefs to
waiver. Everything is topsy turvy and what she once thought was
right…just doesn’t seem to ring true anymore.
In
Larissa Ione’s PLEASURE UNBOUND readers are introduced to a world
filled with demons, werewolves, vampires, and humans. The
otherworldly creatures walk around Earth without humans being the
wiser. Tayla saw her mother die at the hands of a Soulshredder demon
and because of it has suffered sex without the pleasure of orgasm.
Eidolon is what she and the Aegis kill, but there’s something about
him that has Tayla intrigued. What it is she doesn’t know, but she
plans on finding out. Eidolon is going through S’genesis, a change
that comes over Seminus demons if they haven’t found their mate. The
closer his comes the more he can’t control his needs. Every time
Tayla and Eidolon are together the sparks fly. If one of them isn’t
thinking about sex then the other one is. <g>
Secondary characters include Eidolon’s brothers, Wraith and Shade,
who both have their own powers and problems that I won’t go into for
fear of giving away the story; Kynan, the leader of the Aegis
organization Tayla works for, his wife Lori and another guy named
Jagger. There’s a secret or two that these people are keeping so
just read the book and find out what they are.
Intense, engrossing, and titillating, PLEASURE UNBOUND is a story
not to be missed. I can’t wait for the next story.
