Erotic Paranormal Romance -- Short story

Dome City and the Highlands - The Future

Jake Lindow was kicked out of the army for refusing to lead his mutant troops into a battle they couldn’t possibly win. Now he’s a member of a group struggling to bring down the tyrannical Dome City’s government. Finding out that Aurel, the Keeper of the Laws for the Dragul, and his daughter, Crina, are in the City gives Jake the perfect opportunity; he’ll kidnap Crina and demand that the government give the people their freedom back.

Crina, one of the first Dragul/human hybrids, has matured at a much faster rate than her peers, leaving her with the desires of a woman and the rules of a child. Now she’s stuck in the foul Dome City while her father conducts his diplomatic relations all so that he can prevent her from enjoying a physical relationship with an attractive Dragul back home. When she’s kidnapped by the rebels, Crina isn’t scared, she’s sure her father will rescue her. But soon fear, and even passion, are raging through Crina. Darn that Jake, is there any way to make him understand that the Dragul are not responsible for the Dome City’s woes?

REBEL starts off Marie Treanor’s new Rogue Warriors series with a bang. Jake is angry, grieving for his people, and determined to right the world’s wrongs. Unfortunately, he and his followers are operating under some severe misconceptions. They believe the Dragul deliberately started the war with the west intending to let both sides destroy themselves so that they can run the world the way they see fit. Jake can’t understand how Crina manages to make him feel both powerful and protective, and also immensely guilty for causing her current distress. Could kidnapping Crina have been a terrible mistake? For her part, Crina finds an opportunity to be the adult she’s claimed she is for so long. If she can convince Jake that he’s wrong, perhaps her father will believe that she’s really mature. And then there are the disturbing feelings of yearning and passion Jake brings out in her so easily, is it because she’s just desperate to experience sex, or could Jake be her One?

REBEL is filled with action, suspense, political intrigue and of course, a sensual romance between two characters you’re sure to like. Don’t miss it!
