Erotic Paranormal Romance - Short Story
San Antonio, Texas- Present Day
An off-duty shooting left police officer Sinead O’Rourke shot in the
face and her partner, Danny, dead. When she awoke in the hospital
after surgery, Sin found her ex-lover and fellow cop, Jake Chapa, at
her bedside, along with Danny. As she was told about Danny’s death,
his presence sent her into hysterics, leading everyone, including
Jake, to believe she had suffered a mental breakdown. Returning to
work is a nerve-wracking experience, from the curious stares and
whispers to finding out that her new partner will be Jake. Sin is
also hiding the fact that Danny’s specter still makes frequent
appearances.
Jake has always hated that Sin is a patrol officer. He can barely
tolerate the thought of her putting herself in danger, and he is not
happy that she has returned to duty. Jake will make Sin’s patrol as
uncomfortable as possible if it will convince her to change jobs.
During their first call, Sin is disturbed to be seeing things like
the melting face on a man in the bus shelter and falling through a
cement wall into another world. When Sin finds out that her head
wound has given her a gift, not a mental condition, she is both
relieved and terrified. She and Jake have resumed their private
relationship. Will he stick around and keep her secret when he
finds out that Sin not only still sees Danny, but also can spot
demon skinwalkers?
A turbulent relationship and sexy, spooky thrills await readers in
SIN’S GIFT. Sin is a woman who feels her call to duty strongly and
takes the bumps in her life head-on. She will submit to Jake only
in the bedroom, and the tension between them is a sizzling battle of
wills. But, Jake has a couple of surprises in store for Sin, as do
some other members of San Antonio’s finest. This is a well written
and engrossing tale with complex characters who have hidden depths.
Enter into other realms with the highly recommended SIN’S GIFT.
