Marina,

However, Samson loses the mollusk he was after to diver Michael
Sandbar. When Marina hears this news, she is determined to go to
the ship where Michael is and retrieve it. But she is not
prepared for her reaction to the young, handsome top-dweller.
Many
years ago, Michael’s father had taken a picture of a mermaid sitting
on a tiny island. That image has haunted him most of his life. He
can scarcely believe what he sees when he meets Marina . She is the
same mermaid in his father’s picture.
He
wants to live in her world…she wants to live in his. So where do
Samson and the pearl fit in and what will Marina’s father, who is
the Prime Minister of the kingdom where she lives, do when he finds
out that his daughter has fallen in love with a human?
SOUL OF
THE SEA is a pleasant, if a little predictable, story of discovery,
hope and love. Alison Page paints pretty pictures with pastoral
words vivid descriptions. Readers can almost smell the sea and feel
the sand beneath their toes. I recommend it.
