Erotic Paranormal Romance – Short Story

Present Day

Varick has made a promise to his mentor who is dying. Dante raised him like a son in their vampire coven, and because of that, Varick will do whatever Dante wants. He asks Varick to watch over the daughter of a woman he loved and who died. From that day forward, Varick will make it his sole purpose to watch this girl become a woman.

And what a woman she has become!  Young Aubrey has become quite beautiful, and Varick cannot stop thinking about her. He longs to make sweet love to her, but knows he can’t. So, he continues to hide in the shadows and stays her unknown protector.

Aubrey doesn’t have much luck with men in general since the latest man in her life ended up cheating on her.  Because she is so upset, she gets into a car accident and almost dies, but Varick comes to her rescue before death can claim her. Varick now holds the most precious thing he has ever had in his arms. But when Aubrey awakens to find herself in a strange place, will she welcome Varick’s embrace, or run in fear because of what he is?

VOWS OF A VAMPIRE has a very appealing character in Varick. This is not the stereotypical vampire hero we are so used to reading about. Varick is so overwhelmed by his responsibilities, which include the most important one of watching over Aubrey, whom he must protect with his whole heart and soul. Aubrey is the perfect woman for this lonely immortal, and when they consummate their relationship, it is a nice love scene with emotional and some nice steamy sex between the two.

If you are in the mood for a nice vampire romance that hits all the right spots, Ann Cory’s VOWS OF A VAMPIRE maybe the story you are looking for.
