Erotic Paranormal Romance - ménage, M/M interaction, BDSM – Short Story

Brooklyn, New York and Hell - Present day

Bryck is the commander of a unit of Synn demons (their work involves helping the souls of mortals to traverse the path home to the Creator) stationed in New York. One of his group, Flayvor, was kidnapped not long ago and time is running out to find him. Rumor (and the new vampire mate of two other Synn demons) has it that a woman named Maya can help them get Flayvor back. Bryck is willing to do anything to retrieve Flayvor, but if he can’t get control of his death magic, he may kill them all in the process. Then he meets Maya and the incredible possessiveness he feels towards her confuses him.

Maya can’t believe she fell for the lies of a demon; in trying to save an innocent Synn demon, she unknowingly delivered him into the hands of his tormentors. Having done enough damage to others in her long lifetime, Maya has no interest in harming this male. However, when she meets Bryck, thoughts of the demon hanging nearby in chains are far from her mind.

Could it be that Bryck and Maya are meant to be something more than mere partners in rescue? Did fate indeed create the perfect mate for a man who epitomizes death?

WALKING DEATH’S EDGE brings together the mysterious and deadly leader of the Synn demons readers have come to know and love with a woman who may be even more enigmatic than he is. Bryck was born with death magic and had a difficult time controlling it throughout his childhood. You’d think that control would be easier for him now, but his emotions are volatile and made more so as time goes by and Flayvor’s fate hangs in the balance. Loyal and dedicated, Bryck, and New York for that matter, may not survive if he can’t save his team member. Love was never a possibility for Bryck (women tend to avoid being touched by death) but suddenly, with Maya’s arrival, it seems like a dream within reach. Maya is irresistibly attracted to Bryck, but for reasons of her own, rooted in her distant past, she doesn’t feel as if she deserves love. Saving Flayvor may be just the next task in a long and lonely life. Surely her cursed existence won’t be lightened by finding her other half in Bryck?

With plenty of help from the other Synn demons, and their mates both mortal and not, it’s possible Flayvor can be saved. However, there are plenty of enemies waiting in the wings to ensure that he dies, including the Fathers of Trinity (a group of rebellious paranormal police).

An urban adventure with plenty of action, as well as more than a few deliciously hot bouts of sex, this may not be a standalone read (the first three books of the series found at Cobblestone Press are must reads for proper understanding of the plotline) but it is a fantastic one. I highly advise purchasing WALKING DEATH’S EDGE, and the other Anom’tan books if you don’t have them yet, at your earliest opportunity.
