As an agent in the Sexual Misconduct Division of the Supernatural Enforcement Agency, it’s Serena Troy’s job to make sure that humans are protected from supernatural beings.  If a witch, wizard, alien, etc. uses a spell or magic to coerce a human into sexual acts they may not otherwise perform, it’s Serena’s duty to arrest them.  The burn-out rate in her division is high, because it’s often difficult to deal with all of the sexual energy and spell residue, but Serena has lasted as long as she has because she has a convenient sexual outlet in her colleague, Drake.

On her first day as a Senior Agent, and her first day as a trainer to a new – and way too enthusiastic – agent, Drake asks for help on a particularly trying case.  Drake has arrested a wizard who has apparently coerced three blue-eyed blond women and two other African-American men into an orgy, and he needs Serena, both to interview the victims and relieve some of his stress.  While reviewing the evidence, and having sex, Serena makes a startling discovery: the wizard didn’t cast a spell on the group, one of the women did.  Her name is Belinda, and if Serena is right, Belinda is an organic witch.  Serena comes from a long line of organic witches (those that can command magic without the use of wands or potions).  If Belinda is an organic witch, and a bad one at that, Serena must stop her before she hurts any more humans.

Serena and Drake’s similarity to the couples involved in the orgy – African-American male and blond woman – cause all kinds of havoc in BLACK ON BLOND.  Their relationship is more of a “friends with benefits” kind of thing, and hardly exclusive, but with this case Serena seems to be focusing more on the contrasts between them than she ever had  before.  They are also having sex more often than they usually do on a case.  ‘

Though the investigation is a primary focus of the story, there are plenty of steamy sex scenes, not always between just Serena and Drake, mixed in.  If you are looking for a hot romantic tale, you may want to look elsewhere.  But if an intriguing mystery and lots of uninhibited sex in a story intrigues you, look no further than BLACK ON BLOND.
