September, 6269 AR (after the Red Moon) Vinn Kingdom of the Onyx Empire;   West New Pangaea; Tarsol

Her world is at risk and Lizeria must make it to the safety of the Ender Woods and the Western River.  She fled her home in Tarsol when Wizards murdered her mother, the Empress, and father. If Lizeria had paid attention to her magic lessons, she would have been able to help the situation and then get herself away.  Instead, she uses the last of her money to buy a dwarf named Gray who can act as an interpreter on the journey and his disgusting-looking reptile transport named Bessie.  She must also find the blackstones which will aid her in ridding the Onyx Empire of the evil that has caused so much destruction and loss of life.

Mysterious Alexander Rey is a king.  But his kingdom was decimated like Tarsol.  He rescues Lizeria and Gray and decides to accompany them on the rest of the quest to get to her uncles who she is positive will her make things right.  Lizeria feels a powerful attraction to Alexander, but tries to deny it.  It is something she cannot understand because she is sure that he is not her fated.  Alexander knows differently and employs his own brand of seduction to convince her that they are meant to be together.

With devastation all around them, and nothing else to lose, Alexander, Lizeria, and Gray face danger, weirdness, and just plain meanness on the part of some they encounter.  Adventure, misadventure, courage and determination keep them true to their plans for restoring goodness to the Onyx Empire.  When Alexander and Lizeria do connect, they blaze.  It’s a fun story, and  I recommend GUARDIANS OF THE ONYX EMPIRE.
